would it make adolescents think twice before having sex
A nine-year-old girl has given birth to a 2.75kg baby in north-east China, reports say.
The baby was delivered by cesarean at a hospital in Changchun in Jilin province.
The City Evening News in China reports the girl's parents have sought legal advice.
Under Chinese law, sex with a girl under 14 years of age carries an automatic rape conviction.
Despite the girl's young age, and the potential for complications, it's been reported the mother and her new baby are in good health.
Another report from a Shanghai based hospital said 30 per cent of young girls who had surgical abortions were school students. | | wow! she wont be last unfortunately. | Why there is so much ignorance about HPV? I am just curious, I thought that by now with the new HPV vaccine, there would be a lot more interest in this condition. I work with a lot of teenegers, and so few of them have not clue about HPV. Basic things like the fact that people can get it with condoms or without it, or that there are over 100 different strains, or that the new vaccine will cover about 70% of some of the main strains is like chinese to them. I have discovered that a lot of people that teach sex ed do not like to talk too much about HPV becasue it is a virus that you can often get even when you wear a condom (similar to Herpes), and they think that this might be in a way diminish the benefits of teaching to wear a condom. Also the fact that some people get HPV and get not sytoms (specially males who become carriers) might be a reason too. HPV can cause so much infertility and cancer, so I am very curious to learn what people think, specially teens and young adults. | | I find it hard to believe that people don't know what HPV is, because we're practically being bombarded with information about HPV on TV, on the internet, and in magazines. I've known about HPV for quite a while now, and I'm not even a teenager yet. I guess they really don't care much about disease and health. | Anyone know the film i'm talking about? Right i can remember quite a few things about the film so hopefully someone knows!
It's based around an american high school, i think they've just got out on there summer holiday.. theres a chinese boy who never speaks but always has his camera out and at one stage he ends up in the back of a music bands van. Theres a group of girls and two of the girls are secretly dating and no-one knows they're gay. Theres a party at a house and a young girl trys to have sex with a boy in the toilet but he dosent allow it... so yeah maybe i don't remember as much as i thought haha but yeah hopefully somone knows!?
Also i've got to do a project in english about how teens are portrayed in films so can people name me films that show teens having sex, taking drugs, drinking etc.. basically films like thirteen! thanks for the help xx | I can't help you on the movie your talking about, doesn't ring a bell.

www.movietome.com/movie/298406/th… | What do you think of my problem? after being here, australia, i came to know about western cultures, especially about romance things. i knew about how good a relationship could be. but i had none and i'm 24, i feel like i'm a weirdo and completely had no life. i'm from china.
and honestly, i like white girls, but i know that's just impossible. culture differs too much. in your culture every man can chat with girls in a relaxed and interesting way, without being awkward or uptight, and you can easily smile at opposite gender, or flirt with, but such sounding-simple things are just way too difficult for us asians, as in your world boys and girls start practicing relationship including sex in early teens, and everyone develops an outgoing personality and lots of knowledges on getting along with opposite sex, but we don't try any until 20+, as we were busy studying earlier, and boyfriend/girlfriend things is forbidden by school and family. we are extremely experience -lacked
now i feel it so tragic to be chinese, and even more tragic when you know the difference between how good things could be and what you have been with. if i didn't go abroad, i probably never get to know these, never get this sad . i even think if i keep thinking so, depress so, i might could commit a suicide - coz there's no value , no price in my life, what am i existing for ? what do you think? | | We all have our own issues, but what you have wrote about is not what I and a lot of other people would consider a problem. No matter your upbringing, every new day is an opportunity to re-invent yourself. The only thing limiting you is your mind (thoughts). Stop living in the past and feeling sorry for yourself. Live in the here and now and plan for the future. There are zillions of people that are much worse off than you. That's just how I see it. Why? Because I've been in your shoes. I am no longer, for I choose not to be. | What do you think of my experience? after being here, australia, i came to know about western cultures, especially about romance things. i knew about how good a relationship could be. but i had none and i'm 24, i feel like i'm a weirdo and completely had no life. i'm from china.

I've seen many Chinese guys with white girls. You need to stop feeling sorry for yourself. Anyways I think a lot of Chinese guys are cute. | How to get a girl(Asian Style)? im a 15 year old boy and wants to get more attention from girls or even getting them to like me,im kinda chubby with 60kg as my weight with only 165cm as my height.I've saw some posts up where i can know American peoples are very open minded about your opposite sex as majorities of Asian teens have different 'taughts' about our opposite sex.
Additional Details:
We asians mostly only stick with our own sex in high school, girls aside and same for we mens.we dont mix around with girls but those 'good looking and popular ones' do.pardon me with my broken english, i'm a chinese btw. | | With Asians I think it's a lot more important to be friends first. You can start being friends with some of them by talking in class then moving on to the internet, phone, hanging out and etc. | Movie cliches . . . .? here are a few common movie cliches:
in a school setting, all the popular girls have big boobs, and the geeky girls a flat chested
when they have chinese take out, it is eaten out of the box
when the charachter is brushing thier teeth, they never get toothpaste out of their mouth
when ever there is a loud music scene, the two people can talk as if there is no music heard. perfectly fine. hahaha
women of action can always do kicks and stuff in mini skirts and highheels
people never get hickups or coughs or sneezes during their main talking scene
if a dream is shown, it is of these three
1) a very accurate vision of ancient times
2) a vision of the future
3) a vision of the present
there is always a miget in a carnival
anyone in the ocean will be eaten
guns dont have to be reloaded
the boss is always a jerk
the quarterback always goes out with the head cheerleader
teens have a huge poster of the oposite sex on the back of thier door | | lemme add another one, when a guy gets shot, the woman cleans his wound and eventually they'l kiss | Bi people- when you were younger...? Hi im 14 and im aguy...
i like girls, but right now me and my good friend from tennis and after school activities have a good relationship. I told him i had feelings for him not so long ago, and i feel in love with him. I've made out with him, kissed him etc.
however, i was surprised how easily it is to tell a guy i loved him, and that to ask them out, but girls its a lot harder.
I think that same sex couples can communicate better because they are the same gender, and know what the want, and has a better understanding of how each other feels.
Maybe thats why when ppl are still teens bi ppl go out with the same sex more.
all bi women and men, do you think this is true?
oh yeah, and about my experiences, i dont know if im bi or gay or straight give me your opnion
(Im chinese-american but part of my family immigrated to the u.s before i was born, so i may have different opinions than
you, and my bfs korean-american)
Thank you! | | i'm 15 and i'm a girl. i'm Bi and i've always been more comfortable around girls. i have friends that are guys and i'm very comfortable around them, but when it comes to asking someone out, it seems to be easier for me to ask out a girl. i've never been able to figure out why. i'm sure that it can be completely opposite for someone else. i don't think its true for anyone who is Bi. Now for your other question about you being Bi or Gay. That's something only you can know. Do you still have an attraction to girls? If not, yes i would say that you are Gay. | Help please I don't know what to do? First I'd like to say I'm so sorry if this story is too long. I have a history of redundant writing, even though I try my best! I will try! I have edited it so much already. I always think any details are important and can't omit them. I hope this is okay.
I'm a 20 years old Chinese-American gal and I don't know which guy to choose. I was born in the States to Chinese immigrants and when we moved to a different town when I was 6, I met a neighbour-Jim, who was 2 years older than me and also Chinese-American. We became friends and then grew up together and had almost exactly the same interests. We both speak good Chinese as well I'd like to add. As teens we were both very interested in martial arts, watched movies and read books of those types, even took courses and we always practiced together. Yeah.. I'm so tomboy. Haha. We also studied together and alwyas helped each out when needed. I considered him as a brother and thought he considered me as a sister. Oh I definitely should add that we are both a single guy. We were very happy then.
Last year, I met Terry-he's also a Chinese-American born in the States but he speaks almost no Chinese and is a lot more like an American than Chinese. He started hitting on me and I started to like him. He isn't really interested in martial arts though-he says movies and stuff made it all fake with those impossible stunts. But he's a really fun guy who has a lot of hobbies but only knows basics though. He got me into some-for example cooking, painting, playing piano. It's all fun and we have a great time. I've been going out with him the past year. However, I don't know why I didn't see the signs earlier-probably because I'm young and inexperienced-but since I started hanging out with Terry, Jim has got a part time job and we've been together less and less. I thought it was just growing up, like when I was a guy I talk to my parents a lot but right now I never really talk to my parents anymore. And my dad had a best friend as a guy-same sex though-but they don't get in touch often now-I've only seen him twice. At first, when Jim and I were together it seemed just like before, but just with less time to spend.
Well, last week Terry and I spent V-day together and it was great. The next day, Jim came up to me with a gift and tells me he has loved me for many years but was always too shy to say anything and was afraid of my reaction. He said that when I started going out with Terry he really wanted to say something but felt it would be rude to just step in thinking it's his fault for not saying anything earlier. This point I realized the past year when I was with him, it wasn't just that the time we spent together was less, but the effort he put in when he was with me was less as well. He then confirmed that and told me he was actually quite sad the past year but tried to get over it. He says he eventually decided to give up the beginning of this month and try to ignore his feelings for me but then realized V-day was soon and wanted to do something for me that day and bought a gift for starters. However, the next time I was with him I mentioned spending that day with Terry so he decided to give up again. I remember that day I told Jim, he didn't seem sad or anything that gives me a hint of something wrong. Well what I said in the beginning of this paragraph is what eventually happened.) I told Jim that I was sorry for everything that has happened and that it had never ever crossed my mind to think of him as a lover as I have always considered him as a brother and thought he always considered me as a sister. He says he understands, then says sorry for creating a mess and blames himself again. I told him not to worry and we can solve this problem and hopefully no one will be hurt too much. Later on I told Terry of what happened, he was shocked, but tells me whatever choice I make he'll be happy with and he'll give me time to think about it.
I really don't know what to do. Can you please help? | | well first off i think tht was a very long story lol but all the details were necessary. ok you just have to follow ur heart i understand you see jim as a brother but at the same time ur heart might be thinking of something different because your contemplating on what to do. terry is being very understanding and its a good thing but also a bad thing instead of fighting for u and trying to prove himself he is giving up. if you think you and jim could be a good thing then go for it . its always good to fall in luv with ur best friend and most of them who do get married idk if thats something you want but i hope it helps if you really like terry then do wut i do wear out the differences. do pros and cons ya kno i hope this helps |
