How do I drop hints for a college shower? I will be moving away to go to college soon, at which time, I will be living in my own apartment, but I really need some things that I can't afford right now. My birthday is coming up too, so it seems really convenient to have someone throw a farewell/housewarming.birthday party/college shower... I'm sure that someone would be willing to do that for me, but I don't really know how to politely drop hints. It seems that it would be really impolite to just bluntly beg for one. How can I encourage this kind of event? |
| why havent you been working all summer? |
Can I catch something from these clogged college shower drains? So I go to take a shower at my community bathroom and all of the drains are clogged...most likely from hair since we are all girls. We all wear flip flops in the shower for sanitary reasons but is it possible to catch something from the over flooding shower water touching our feet? The thought of it is pretty gross and we definitely need some Drano... |
| This is a major YUCK ! Have you gone to the college housing office and complained? You are paying room and board to this college. Yes, there are probably millions of bacteria and fungi in this water. Complain ! |
Do students typically shower at college orientations? I have an overnight college orientation and day number 2 begins at about 7:00 A.M. I was wondering do students typically shower at orientations? Would I look like a dirty person if i chose not too and just put on deodorant and some body spray? |
| Most of the people in my group showered, I know I did. |
Next yr at college there are shower rooms? Any one how did u deal? Next year when I am a freshman at college I know that the freshman dorms don't have a bathroom for everyone. Instead, they have several shower rooms with 3-4 stalls. How did you deal? That's the only thing im skeptical about..
How does it work out? Any tips/suggestions? |
make sure you have shower sandals/flip flops. you can get gross stuff from the shower floor in dorms. get a bathrobe you are comfortable in and a caddy to carry your stuff in. you are going to find out its not that big of a deal.
we had co-ed bathrooms in my dorm!!! that was interesting. at first its kind of weird but everyone gets over it after awhile. its no different than sharing a bathroom with your girlfriends or your brother. no biggie :) |
Do you have to share a toilet and shower in college dorms? I'm going off to college after next year and i'm just curious if I live on campus if i'm going to have to share a toilet and shower?? |
| usually freshmen get a choice of suite (sharing a bathroom with your room and 1 or 2 other rooms) or a hallway bathroom where u share it with all the people in your floor. my freshman year we had a bathroom in between 2 rooms with no locks on the door. its was rediculous and there were bugs everywhere |
At my college the shower curtains are too short width wise and you can see right in. Please help? I'm looking for a simple solution, that isn't permanent. Something I can put up or down or something each time I take a shower, and I dont mind spending the extra time. Its an all girls floor, but that doesnt stop the guys from using our bathroom and some of the girls are really snotty and stare right at you. |
I was trying to think of something that wouldn't seem too noticeable or dorky. How about getting a big beach towel (most are 30 x 60, but you can get bigger ones) and carrying it with you to the shower. Push the shower curtain over until one side meets the stall wall and closes the gap, then throw your beach towel over the curtain rod where the curtain doesn't reach, and that will cover the gap at the other edge of the stall. If it doesn't hang down far enough or doesn't want to stay, maybe a couple of clothes pins will hold it from the inside. Nobody will see you've pinned it. Or, some variation of that, whatever fits.
I don't like peepers either! I'm a master at covering up bathroom stall door gaps with jackets, purse straps, paper towels, whatever! :-) |
Will I get foot fungus if I shower in a college bathroom? Will I get foot fungus if I shower in a college bathroom? |
i shower in any shower *** naked
and i have yet to have fungi |
If you can go to college then why can't you shower or clean your clothes to smell decent? I go to a University and there is someone in one of my classes who literally smells like they pooped their pants. I feel that if you can attend college then you should at least have some money to shower or wash your clothes. I don't understand how this person can smell so bad? |
Sit near those who smell decent.
Make sure you sit far from those who smell terrible. It might not be good for you in many ways to sit near them at all.
Hope this helps. |
How do i shower in my college dorm? I am scared to shower with other people the bathroom is shared on a single floor. The stalls are closed but i dont like the idea of showering while someone comes in to use the bathroom any ideas what i should do? I havent showered in 4 days because of this. |
| Don't worry about it. Once you do it, you'll be fine. I've showered in public shower-rooms, in-front of other guys before. The other people in the bathroom, whill be the same sex and will have the same body parts. It would help, if you would tell your gender. |
Do guys use shower robes at college dorms? after they get out of the shower do they use a shower robe. well of course a man's shower robe. like a black one. with their shower shippers? or how does it work? or do they just change and walk back to their dorm fully dressed? i guess if u have a room mate u have to dress first. but what do college guys need to bring in the dorm showers. and how are u suppose to change into your clothes. do u want around proud like a man. or are you suppose to cover up? |
| Give me a break- you never showered after gym class in high school? It is up to you what you want to do. Most wear their towels around their waist, go back to the room, and get dressed. If you want to wear a robe, then do it. You realize that the bathrooms are housed within the dorms, right? |
